Redstart Forestry, Inc. is private consulting company with offices in Corinth, Vermont. We assist clients with forest management, wildlife habitat enhancement, geographic information systems (GIS), GPS mapping, pest and disease management, herbaceous plant inventories, and natural community mapping.
We strive to balance the need to improve the quality of both rural and urban forestland over the long-term with a commitment to assuring that the land maintains its ecological integrity and historic values. Educating landowners about forestry, establishing long-term relationships with both landowners and skilled, careful loggers, and assisting agencies manage relationships with the public are also important goals.
Many of our clients are non-industrial private landowners and their parcel sizes range from about 30 to 1000 acres. Additionally, we provide services to the Marsh Billings Rockefeller National Historical Park in Woodstock, Vermont, as well as a number of private trusts and non-profit organizations. We primarily serve landowners in Orange, Windsor, Washington, and Caledonia counties in Vermont, plus a few outliers in other areas.
We also work on a variety of efforts of state and national interest, including assisting landowner groups accomplish landscape-level land conservation goals and developing risk assessment systems for insects and disease.
