Every three years, Mark takes on a new apprentice. The apprentice works with Mark maintaining and managing the studio, making clay and glazes, glazing and wading, preparing wood (for both the kiln and studio), firing kilns, packing and shipping, and a myriad of odds and ends. In exchange he or she gets studio and kiln space, training, and experience.
